Pamplona - Spain
I enjoyed the very walkable and beautiful center of Pamplona, the famous city in the north of Spain. It is a very elegant town and it is a pleasure to have coffee in one of the cafés at “Plaza Castilla” or to drink an occasional beer in one of the many spectacular tapas bars one can find easily.

Pamplona is, of course, also the city of the 'Running of the Bulls' during the “San Fermín” festival which is held every year in July, and Pamplona as well partly provides the backdrop for Ernest Hemingway’s novel “The sun also rises”. The author himself frequented the famous “Café Iruña”, which is still open at “Plaza Castilla”. Tourists take snapshots of the Hemingway statue displayed at the counter of the café.

For all these reasons the center of the town has turned into a very photographic place in that stunning pictures of the 'Running of the Bulls', of the fiestas as well as the many images of Hemingway that are displayed in bars, restaurants and showcases, decorating and adding to the urban scenery.
